Former Bolthouse president dies at 60
Andre Michael Radandt, former president and chairman of Bolthouse Farms, died Dec. 29. He was 60.
Mr. Radandt had a visionary business career that was rewarded with remarkable success, including the introduction of Bolthouse juices and salad dressings.
Mr. Radandt was born June 2, 1962, in Lake Forest, IL, to immigrant parents from Germany. The Wheaton College graduate's accomplishments, in number and breadth, rival those of a much longer life span.
Mr. Radandt and his wife, Lisa Bolthouse Radandt, had four children, Ellen Stremler, Alex Radandt, Lydia Caruso and Ryan Radandt, and two grandsons, Oliver and Matthew.
Family meant the world to him. Mr. Radandt enjoyed visiting his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, all living in Germany. He also funded a naming gift in honor of his parents, Friedhelm and Elizabeth Radandt, at a Midwestern college.
Mr. Radandt's passionate interest in sports, especially football and hockey, spread the gift of fun to many. He loved taking his children and friends to major league games.
The funeral service will take place at 4:30 on Friday, Jan. 13, at Rio Vista Community Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
