California Fresh Fruit Association thanks Congressman Kevin McCarthy
The California Fresh Fruit Association expressed its gratitude to Congressman Kevin McCarthy for his longstanding leadership in the United States House of Representatives. He has been a dedicated partner to California’s agriculture industry throughout his 16 years of service.
Earlier this week McCarthy announced that he plans to resign from Congress at the end of the year.
“On behalf of the California Fresh Fruit Association membership, we are grateful to Congressman Kevin McCarthy for his support of the fresh fruit industry throughout his career in public service," said President Daniel Hartwig. "He has worked tirelessly on behalf of California agriculture in his efforts to fix our broken water systems.
"We are proud to have had the 55th Speaker of the House come from the Central Valley, which is home to many of the fresh fruit commodities that the association represents," said Hartwig. "Congressman McCarthy’s office has always been open to engage with CFFA members to address specific issues the industry is facing. Thank you, Congressman McCarthy, we are grateful for your leadership and service.”
CFFA said it looks forward to working with McCarthy in his future endeavors.
