Anthony Brago of Vineland, NJ, dies at 63
Anthony (Buddy) Brago of Robert J. Ferrari Inc., a broker, grower and shipper of fresh produce located in Vineland, NJ, died Nov. 21 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. He was 63 years old and had pancreatic cancer.
Mr. Brago was born in Vineland to William and Christine (Campana) Brago, and graduated from Vineland High School in 1976. He owned and operated Buddy's Bagels, and then went to work in the casino industry in Atlantic City, NJ. It was while working in the casino industry that he met his future wife, Shirley Ferrari, who also worked in the casino industry. The two were married Oct. 26, 1996, and lived in Vineland.
After leaving the casino industry, he began his produce career at Robert J. Ferrari Inc. His career spanned 25 years at the family business, and was the manager there when he died.
Shirley told The Produce News that her husband had three favorite hobbies: spending time with his family was first, cooking was second, and muscle cars was third.
In addition to Shirley, his wife of 25 years, Mr. Brago is survived by his daughter, Amelia Brago; his mother, Christine (Campana) Brago; his father-in-law, Robert J. Ferrari Sr.; his mother-in-law, Patricia Brennan; his brother-in-law, Robert J. Ferrari Jr. (Leslie); his sister-in-law, Debbie Sorantino (Stephen); his nieces and nephews, Luke Barile (Heather), Jana, Robert and Rachel; and many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Bill Brago, and his sister, Rosemary Barile.
