Giorgio Fresh Co., has a long-standing tradition of growing high-quality mushrooms to fit customers’ needs. With years of experience behind its name, Giorgio Fresh knows what it takes to be a success in the mushroom industry.

The company is excited to be headed to Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure again this year, where it will be exhibiting at booth No. 710, and introducing its new Savory Sauté kits.

“The kits are available in two flavors — Garlic Herb and Tomato Chipotle — and allow consumers to whip up a gourmet meal in record time,” said Bryan Shelton, vice president of sales and marketing for the Blandon, PA-based company. “We are also showcasing our new stuffed flavor, Everything Seasoned.”

The Giorgio Fresh team also eagerly anticipates engaging with customers in real-time.

“Adding to the excitement are the educational sessions, which are expertly curated with insightful and engaging presenters, making them the highlight of our interactions at the SEPC,” Shelton said.

Among the hot topics the company expects to talk about at the show include how mushrooms are the unseen heroes of the kitchen.

Giorgio Fresh offers white mushrooms, brown mushrooms, exotic mushrooms (shiitake, maitake, royal trumpets, oyster, beech), organic mushrooms (white whole, white sliced, baby Bella whole, port caps, port sliced, shiitake), dried mushrooms (black trumpet, chanterelle, lobster, morel, oyster, paddy straw, porcini, portabella, shiitake sliced, shiitake whole, soup blend, stir fry, wood ear), and stuffed mushrooms (imitation bacon and cheddar, imitation crab seasoning, artichoke and spinach, fiesta, Mediterranean, and buffalo blue cheese, garlic parm).

“Mushrooms are extremely versatile, offering numerous health advantages,” Shelton said. “We see mushrooms as culinary stars, whether incorporated with other proteins for a nutritious twist or adding a delicious umami flavor to any meal as a side dish. Our Savory Sauté kits and stuffed mushrooms offer consumers a convenient route to gourmet dining experiences in the comfort of their own kitchens, requiring minimal preparation and time.”

Another thing the company looks forward to is meeting with others in the industry.

“We can’t wait to absorb the wealth of knowledge presented and connect with other leaders in the field,” Shelton said. “Given the constant evolution of this industry, it’s important for us to seize the opportunity to learn how other companies are adapting to meet the market’s needs. SEPC allows us to connect with our customers that are in the Southeast and network with our valued industry colleagues.”

Giorgio Fresh’s focus is always on catering to consumer needs, which drives its commitment to unveiling fresh, innovative products.

“Among our latest offerings are the Savory Sauté kits, featuring Garlic Herb butter and Tomato Chipotle butter varieties, complete with delectable steak cut mushrooms and richly flavored butter,” Shelton said. “Additionally, we’re thrilled to introduce a new addition to our extensive stuffed mushroom lineup — the Everything Seasoned stuffed mushroom, destined to become a weeknight favorite.”

A successful show for the team, Shelton noted, involves establishing meaningful connections with both peers and customers.

“It’s an opportunity for us not only to deepen our understanding of emerging trends and industry updates but also to showcase our latest innovative products, which are not only incredibly delicious but also represent our commitment to pushing boundaries and meeting the evolving needs of our market,” he said.
