Fresh Produce & Floral Council's SoCal membership luncheon features City of Hope

15-Marvin---1Cerritos, CA — The annual Southern California Fresh Produce & Floral Council Membership Luncheon featuring City of Hope drew a huge audience of produce professionals to the Sheraton Cerritos Hotel on Wednesday, Aug. 8. Through donations, rebate programs and raffle tickets, the Produce & Floral Division of the Food Industries Circle raised more than $240,000 for the City of Hope, a world leader in the research and treatment of cancer and other serious diseases.

During the luncheon, Cheryl Kennick, senior director of development at City of Hope, received the City of Hope Spirit Award for her tireless efforts. Jerry Scorsatto, retired director of merchandising for Albertsons/Vons/Pavilions and a cancer survivor, gave an emotional speech about the efforts of the City of Hope and his courageous battle with cancer.
