Splendid by Porvenir debuts new Jaguar mango box

To help spur demand for its mangos while also raising awareness for the conservation of a rare big cat species, Splendid by Porvenir recently introduced a sleek new nine-pound box for its Jaguar Honey mangos designed for display at store level.

“It promotes the idea of having a wild experience with yellow (Honey) mangos,” said Cindy Schwing, vice president of marketing for Splendid.

Splendid will begin shipping these packages with mangos in early July and continue on throughout the month. With this packaging, the company also hopes to improve the awareness of saving the jaguars and it has created a landing page to support the effort.

According to Carlos Ferniza, marketing manager for Splendid, who spearheaded the development of the Jaguar project, “The jaguar is making a great comeback in the U.S., and Splendid is joining the cause to raise awareness for the conservation of this magnificent species.”

Ferniza touted the experience of eating Honey mangos, saying, “Indulge in the sweetness and incredible smoothness of our mangos while promoting and sharing more about the most powerful feline in America.”

“All in all, the idea of eating a Splendid Honey mango and helping to save the jaguars is an awesome combination,” said Splendid owner Daniel Ibarra. “We hope to sell lots of Honey mangos from our headquarters in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, and we will gladly contribute to such a worthy cause.”

Schwing said Splendid will provide updates of this unique mango campaign throughout the Mexican Honey season.
