Mastronardi Produce grows Sunset with strategic acquisition of local greenhouses
Mastronardi Produce, the fourth-generation family-owned pioneer in the commercial greenhouse industry, announced the addition of 91 acres of Canadian Greenhouse capacity consisting of a newly constructed, state-of-the-art 27-acre glass greenhouse facility in Kingsville, Ontario which will provide lit production in the winter of local Sunset branded produce.
In addition to this greenhouse, Mastronardi Produce will serve as the exclusive long-term marketer for two additional facilities: J.C. Fresh Farms Ltd. (32 acres in Kingsville) and Orangeline Farms Limited (32 acres in Leamington). This collaboration secures a total of 91 acres of Canadian greenhouse production capacity, enhancing Mastronardi’s commitment to providing fresh, high-quality produce to customers.

The new glass greenhouse facility, completed in 2020, utilizes advanced technology and lighting to optimize growing conditions, ensuring the highest quality of produce.
