The International Fresh Produce Association's 2024 Global Produce & Floral Show has taken over Atlanta, and things got kicked off yesterday with IFPA CEO Cathy Burns' State of the Industry address, which was followed by educational sessions. During the State of the Industry keynote session at the International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral Show, IFPA CEO Cathy Burns revealed the association has been granted observer status to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, thereby allowing IFPA to represent the fresh produce and floral community in climate negotiations.

In light of the recent hurricanes impacting the nation, Hy-Vee will start an in-store register round up campaign Thursday, Oct. 10 at all Hy-Vee grocery stores, Dollar Fresh Markets and Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh locations. Customers can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar during checkout at the store, and all donations will go to the American Red Cross to help individuals and families affected by the hurricanes. The register round up will continue through Friday, Oct.
