The International Fresh Produce Association announced the incoming Class 29 of its prestigious Produce Industry Leadership Program. 

The Texas onion industry declared Oct. 15 as “TX1015 Sweet Onion Day,” commemorating the ideal planting date for TX1015 Sweet Onions, as identified by the onion’s creators Leonard Pike and Paul Leeper of Texas A&M University.

The International Fresh Produce Association wrapped its annual conference in Atlanta after a transformative three days for fresh produce and floral. The event amassed over 3,000 buyers and attendees from over 70 countries on one of the largest floors in a decade.

Longtime retail leader and nationally recognized marketing icon Donna Tweeten has announced her retirement from Hy-Vee Inc., effective Jan. 24. In 2022, Tweeten became the first woman in Hy-Vee history to serve as the company’s president.
