The International Fresh Produce Association hosted its first ever Global Produce & Floral Show in Orlando, FL last week.  The show brought together the entire global supply chain for produce and floral, including attendees from approximately 40 countries. Ahead of the holiday season, Lidl announced pricing for its Thanksgiving basket. Lidl shoppers will once again be able to assemble a traditional Thanksgiving meal, including fresh produce, at Lidl that feeds up to 10 people for less than $30.

Church Brothers Farms is expanding its regional sales team as the company continues to grow its foodservice sales program with the addition of produce veteran Brian Bengard as West Coast foodservice regional manager.

Sun World International LLC added three importers to its panel of North American licensees: GrapeMan Farms, Pacific Trellis Fruit and Sierra Produce. The appointments further expand the company’s panel of licensed importers to 17 companies.

Indoor vertical farming company AeroFarms expanded from the Northeast region to Whole Foods Market locations nationwide to meet increased customer demand.

Winning with the consumer on flavor, AeroFarms is the No. 1 retail brand for both unit and dollar sales in the United States for microgreens, according to Nielsen syndicated data.

Save Mart has teamed up with Amazon and is now offering customers two-hour grocery delivery from select Save Mart stores, with more cities to be added soon. The retailer said its Amazon partnership represents The Save Mart Cos.’ ongoing digital transformation fulfilling customers’ needs with innovative and affordable solutions.
