Delta Fresh investing in the future with new Rio Grande Valley project

Delta Fresh Sales LLC, based in Nogales AZ, along with outside partners, is breaking ground on a new infrastructure project in Pharr, TX.

The project will include a total of four to six separate facilities constructed in segments to total over 1 million square feet of warehouse space located on 80 acres.

“We are very happy to see a project of this scope come to fruition,” said Thanasi Panousopoulos, CEO and owner of Delta Fresh, who spearheaded the project. “It will be a huge increase in much-needed modernized warehouse space for the rapidly expanding fresh fruit and vegetable deal here in the Rio Grande Valley. This project will provide a benefit for the state of Texas, the Mexican exporting community and the produce industry across North America as a whole.” 

Panousopoulos added that the project will include new installations for Delta Fresh “to help with our growth in utilizing the Pharr port during our West Mexico winter production as well our spring, summer and fall productions be sourced from across Mexico.”

Delta Fresh Sales operates year-round, offering fresh fruits and vegetables from Mexico through distribution centers in San Diego, CA, for its Baja California production along with the Nogales, AZ, and Pharr, TX, facilities.
