Spice World is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a virtual, cross-country Recipe Road trip, $75,000 in donations to regional non-profits to address food insecurity and a chance to win a flavor-focused vacation to New Orleans. The company is sharing the legacy of Andy (Pops) Caneza founding the company in 1949 after his return from European duty during WWII and the brand’s significant journey over 75 years.

Although the Gloucester County Packing Corp. does not grow any product itself, its 45,000-square-foot facility in Woodbury Heights, NJ, packs, distributes and handles potatoes and onions from all over the United States and beyond. 

“We’ve been slightly busier than normal in 2024,” said Ron Budd, vice president of Gloucester County Packing. “Last year was a good year for potatoes; we’ve actually had three good years in a row from when the pandemic hit all the way through 2023.”

New Jersey is a big part of Sunny Valley International’s operation, but the Glassboro, NJ-based full-service marketer of domestic and imported fruit, is just as proud of what it produces in other parts of the country too.
