Red Sun Farms named one of Canada's Best Managed Companies
Red Sun Farms has been named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the 10th consecutive year, maintaining the organization's prestigious Platinum Club Status.
Recipients are evaluated by overall business performance and sustained growth with the prestigious Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation. The 2022 Best Managed program award winners are amongst the best-in-class of Canadian owned and managed companies with revenues over $50 million demonstrating leadership in the areas of strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, and financials to achieve sustainable growth.
“This recognition is a reflection of our core values and dedication as an organization," said Red Sun Farms CEO of USA and Canada Operations Carlos Visconti. "The Red Sun family has stayed true to our values and commitments in all aspects of our operations. This recognition reaffirms our position as a leader in the produce industry.”
Now in its 29th year, Canada’s Best Managed Companies remains one of the country’s leading business awards programs recognizing Canadian-owned-and-managed companies for innovative, world-class business practices. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates the caliber of their management abilities and practices.
Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel comprised of representatives from program sponsors in addition to special guest judges. This year's Best Managed companies share commonalities that include (but are not limited to) putting their people and culture at the forefront, focusing on their ESG strategies and doubling down on accelerated digitization.
“Now in its 29th year, the Best Managed program seeks to recognize companies who combine strategic expertise and a culture of innovation with a steadfast commitment to their communities,” said Lorrie King, partner of Deloitte Private and co-leader of Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “This year’s winners demonstrated an increased focus on environmental, social, and governance issues. They maintained an unwavering dedication to their core purpose, enhancing client relationships and cultivating a healthy corporate culture.”
