Fresh Innovations LLC, the Rhome, TX-based marketer of ¡Yo Quiero! brand fresh guacamole and dips, will unveil new additions to its Grab & Go line as well as new sour cream-based dips at the upcoming IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show in Atlanta.

Tara Murray, vice president of marketing, said the IFPA show serves as the premier produce industry event for new product launches and is one the company looks forward to each year.

yo“The IFPA is the largest produce and floral show in the U.S. and draws a ‘Who’s Who’ of buyers, merchandisers and retailers, so it is a must-attend show for us,” she said.

Murray added that the company has three main goals when attending an industry show: engage, educate and entertain.

“We engage the buyers by listening to their needs and providing solutions to help drive their business,” said Murray. “We educate by providing innovative products and partnering with retailers on how to best display these items in stores. And lastly, we entertain by providing delicious dips and snacks to eat so they can visit with us, recharge and keep going.”

At this year’s convention, which will be held Oct. 16-19 in Atlanta, the company will be featuring its new four-ounce Grab & Go! items. Additionally, it will be sampling its new Smoke House Onion and Creamy Jalapeño dips, which she said are great additions that fit perfectly into the Ultimate Dip Destination family.

“We are leaning into the Grab & Go! snacking world and are providing retailers with display-ready cases that house 12 four-ounce cups for consumers to pick and choose their snacking adventure,” said Murray. “We are launching 10 products in that form factor, which will provide the retailer with a variety of options to meet the needs of their consumers. And because of our dual packaging strategy, we will be offering our Grab & Go! line in round, four-ounce ¡Yo Quiero! branded cups, and fresh-cut, four-ounce lightly branded Fresh Innovations trays.”

yoMurray said that with 92 percent of consumers expected to maintain or increase purchases of grab-and-go (according to Technomics), the company is compelled be a part of this wildly successful snacking trend.

New product launches at the IFPA show have proven successful in the past for the ¡Yo Quiero! brand, said Murray, and she is confident that this year’s show will again prove to be an outstanding launching pad.

“We debuted our Avocado & Egg line at last year’s IFPA Global show in Anaheim, and that is doing really well,” said Murray. “We have a retailer in Chicago that has worked with his produce teams on massive displays that have provided great sales lifts for his departments. In other areas of the country, we continue to work with buyers, retailers and in-store dietitians to continue to promote and educate consumers on the goodness of the Avocado & Egg.”

In addition to the aforementioned new items, Murray said some of the more established ones will be featured in the booth.

“We will have other items from our Ultimate Dip Destination such as our new Black Bean Dip, Hatch Chile Guacamole and Corn Salsa,” she said. “We will be the Ultimate Snacking Destination for this year’s IFPA!

Murray added that with the show in Atlanta this year, it gives the ¡Yo Quiero! brand a chance to increase its exposure in the important Southeast market.

“Our sales team, led by part-owner Jay Alley, continuously works with all retailers in the region to see how we can increase their sales and sets with our ‘Ultimate Dip Destination’,” she said. “We are also looking forward to the change of scenery. It’s been a while since the show has moved inland, so our ¡Yo Quiero! team is really looking forward to it!”
