Fresh From Florida pavilion will feature 30 Florida produce companies
The Fresh From Florida pavilion, which will offer samples from more than 30 Florida-based produce companies, will be located in booth No. C2047 at the International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral show.
“Our retail team will be in attendance to meet with buyers and to explain the details of the Fresh From Florida retail program,” said Susie McKinley, director of marketing and development for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. “We value the opportunity to showcase our state’s wide selection of fruits and vegetables to retail buyers at the IFPA Global Produce and Floral Show.”
Among those who will be part of the Florida pavilion are Alderman Farms, B&W Quality Growers, Brooks Tropicals, C&B Farms, Myrick Produce, Florida Classic Growers, Green Life Farms, Florida Watermelon, Florida Specialties, Grimes, Mack Farms, Ray’s Heritage, Scotlynn Sweet Pac, SM Jones, Southern Corp. Packers, Tierra Suelta, The Villages Grown, Troyer Brothers, Vegpro and Yee Farms.

“The FDACS supports Florida growers with the widely recognized Fresh From Florida brand,” McKinley said. “The annual consumer advertising campaign promotes Fresh From Florida products during peak season with a media mix of radio, TV, digital display, social media, online shopping platforms, cashback apps, retail floor graphics, shopping cart advertising, podcasts and more.”
The messaging encourages consumers to look for the logo and buy Fresh From Florida. FDACS also offers incentives to retailers who partner on Fresh From Florida retail promotions.
“The FDACS continues to focus on increasing Fresh From Florida consumer brand awareness and supporting our retail partners with innovative and effective promotions that drive sales of Florida produce,” McKinley said.
Highlighting the agricultural diversity of the Sunshine State, the Fresh From Florida pavilion will also include a farm-fresh kitchen where attendees can meet state chef and culinary ambassador Justin Timineri and sample Florida produce. Attendees can also discover how they can partner with Fresh From Florida to drive sales of Florida produce.
“Fresh From Florida retail specialists follow industry trends and regulatory changes which allow us to adapt our initiatives and provide updates to our members,” McKinley said. “This year, we are especially looking forward to the educational sessions including ‘The State of Science,’ ‘Increasing Demand in the Retail Space’ and ‘Unwrapping the Impact of Global Packaging Regulations.’”
At IFPA, Fresh From Florida will be meeting with existing and prospective retail partners to discuss current promotional opportunities, sourcing Florida produce and ultimately drive sales for Florida growers.
“We welcome all attendees to come by, sample Florida produce and meet our team,” McKinley said. “The FDACS’s division of marketing and development has a dedicated retail and trade team which specializes in creating an engaging tradeshow experience which facilitates meaningful interactions between the Fresh From Florida team, Florida produce companies and our retail partners.”
McKinley added that Fresh From Florida values the opportunity to meet with retail partners, establish new relationships, and share ideas on effective retail merchandising and promotion during the expo hours while also gaining new and important industry insights at educational sessions.
