Floral industry blooms into focus as Iberflora 2025 approaches
The calendars of florists and event professionals intensify with the arrival of summer. The peak wedding season marks a key time for nurseries, floral designers, landscapers, and distributors of floral art products, who find a significant increase in demand for their services and products during the warmer months of the year.
In recent years, there has been a clear trend toward a less seasonal adjustment in weddings—driven by post-pandemic organizational flexibility and an increasingly segmented market— good weather remains a determining factor when choosing a date. Summer and early fall still account for a large proportion of weddings, keeping a sector that not only produces flowers but also designs experiences, settings and emotions active.
The connection between the floral world and wedding celebrations has had its place at Iberflora, the International Fair for Plants and Flowers, Landscaping, Technology and DIY Gardening. In recent years, the show has strengthened its commitment to this sector with the creation of a specific thematic area: Floral Universe, where creativity, technology, and new floral trends apply to weddings and other special events.
A particularly notable example took place at past editions of Iberflora, where renowned floral designer Carlos Curbelo led a technical course and a live bridal show, organized by the Spanish Florists Association (AEFI). This event, which enjoyed a large professional attendance and great visibility in specialized media, combined training and spectacle: signature bouquets, stage compositions, floral dresses, and space design paraded down the temporary catwalk built in the heart of Universo Floral. The event served as a showcase for national talent and generated an emotional impact that directly connected with the needs and interests of the professional audience.
Looking ahead, Iberflora 2025, which will be held from Oct. 14 to 16 at Feria Valencia, will once again include content related to the bridal industry in its program. The event is part of an edition that anticipates new content, more exhibition space, and a reinforced program of live experiences. In this context, the world of weddings and floral design will once again take center stage.
In an environment where innovation coexists with tradition, and technique with emotion, Iberflora continues to establish itself as a key meeting point for those who make greenery their vocation and profession. The 2025 edition promises to continue cultivating inspiration.
