Duda names corporate vice president

Joseph A. Duda, president and CEO of A. Duda & Sons Inc., announced the appointment of Tracy Duda Chapman as corporate vice president of corporate services and general counsel. She will continue to serve as secretary for the corporation.

In her new position, Ms. Chapman, who is general counsel for the company, will have additional oversight responsibility for the company?s human resources, communications, governmental affairs and technical services departments.

?Tracy is well deserving of this appointment," said Mr. Duda. "She has earned recognition for her legal capabilities, and she has expanded her knowledge and understanding of corporate administration through her involvement within and outside of Duda."

Ms. Chapman joined the company in 1992, and has served as general counsel and corporate secretary since 2000. Prior to Duda, she was with the Orlando office of the law firm Dean, Mead, Egerton, Bloodworth, Capouano & Bozarth.

A native of Oviedo, FL, Ms. Chapman is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She earned her juris doctor degree in 1990 from the University of Florida College of Law. She holds a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Alabama. Ms. Chapman is a graduate of the Wedgworth Leadership Institute for Agriculture & Natural Resources, and currently serves as president of the program?s alumni association.

Ms. Chapman is actively involved in industry associations, including the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association and the National Council of Agricultural Employers. She has been appointed by Gov. Jeb Bush to serve a second term as a commissioner on the Florida Environmental Regulation Commission.

Ms. Chapman and her husband, Marc, make their home in Oviedo. They have two daughters.
