Double Date delivers on consistency
When Steven Gilfenbain, CEO of Double Date Packing decided to open his own date packing operation it was with one singular goal: delivering a better eating experience to the consumer. Rather than bringing his dates to another packing house, where he had no control over how his date would be handled and delivered, Gilfenbain launched Double Date.

“Double Date is the grower, packer and shipper,” explained Hope Barbee, vice president-sales for Double Date. “We do not handle or purchase fruit.” The company’s vertical alignment allows them to deliver, “Because of our vertical alignment our fruit is more consistent, uniform and of a higher quality level since our people are tending to the palm trees, growing and harvesting the fruit.”
“Consistency is what it’s all about,” stated Gilfenbain. “You see Double Date, you know you are getting a superior product.”
