Date association to host USDA Foreign Agricultural Service administrator
The American Date Industry Export Trade Association is hosting USDA Foreign Agricultural Service Administrator Daniel Whitley Wednesday, Dec. 6.
Whitley will address the date industry and other specialty crop groups on the Regional Agricultural Product Promotion funding as well as other key initiatives the department is working on for export support.
In addition, District 4 Director Brenda Estrada from the USDA Farm Services Agency will follow to present information on the agency’s work related to past, present and future emergency relief package activities, and the non-insured agricultural products program with focus on how the specialty crop industries can best access provisions for qualified losses.
