Versatile summer citrus available from Bee Sweet
Although California’s citrus domestic season is winding down, Bee Sweet Citrus maintains an ample supply of Royal Red oranges, Star Ruby grapefruit and lemons to meet consumer demand.
“Right now, our Royal Red oranges are showing beautiful blushed rinds and vibrant magenta hues,” said Bee Sweet Citrus Director of Communications Monique Mueller. “Their sweet, berry-like flavor make them an excellent addition to summer salads, desserts and even cocktails.”
With summer just around the corner, families are busy firing up the grill for outdoor gatherings. Fortunately, Bee Sweet’s citrus line caters to many recipes, making them a staple for every occasion.
“Our Star Ruby grapefruit is extremely juicy and sweet, and we’ll have a great supply of bulk and bag options through the end of August,” said Sales Representative Sergio Rodriguez. “With summer holidays on the horizon, now would be an excellent time to promote our three- and five-pound bags.”
In addition to harvesting Royal Red oranges and Star Ruby grapefruit, the company is also harvesting lemons in D1 (Central Valley) and lightly in D2 (Central Coast). This winter’s above-average rainfall has caused the lemons to grow exponentially in size but has kept quality intact. Bee Sweet Citrus will have lemon availability throughout the summer, with supplemental volume coming in through the company’s annual import program.
All of Bee Sweet’s varieties are packaged in vibrant, high-graphic packaging and are available in both bag and bulk options.
