Well•Pict seeing increased output of conventional and organic strawberries

While the Well•Pict trade show crew is in its own backyard for the Organic Produce Summit, summer is in full swing — and so is the company's strawberry production.

“The length of daylight during the summer months brings an acceleration of the flower-to-fruit cycle,” said Dan Crowley, vice president for Well•Pict. “What has been a 28- to 30-day event now occurs over 24 to 26 days, increasing output with additional conventional and organic strawberries. The temperatures are appropriate for this time of year (50 to 70 degrees), so the quality and condition of the berries is excellent.”

Well•Pict said it strives to ensure that retail partners have the necessary resources to get the most out of their berries. The recently updated Well•Pict Digital Retailer POS Kit is filled with an abundance of informational and promotional tools for each member of a produce department; the kit can be download at https://www.wellpict.com/retailer/digital-retailer-pos-kit/.
