Connecticut farmers cultivate about 7,000 acres of vegetables, melons, potatoes and sweet potatoes for a market value near $53 million. An additional 3,429 acres of fruit, including 1,917 acres of apples, are harvested with a total market value of $36.9 million.

With headlines like “Before there were pharmacies, there were farms” and “Before there were co-pays, there were carrots,” the campaign delivers a direct message to U.S.

Tropical activity has remained calm in the Pacific basin with no potential formation expected this week. We are watching a low-pressure system that has the potential to become tropical disturbance later this week in the Gulf of Mexico.
