Wonderful Pistachios get behind the plate at MLB ballparks

Wonderful Pistachios announced a new marketing alliance with Live Nation, one of the larger live entertainment companies, and expanded its portfolio with select professional baseball teams nationwide to reach fans while they’re enjoying this summer’s most popular events.

“With everyone enjoying concerts and America’s favorite pastime this summer, it’s easy to forget the healthy eating habits we’ve all worked so hard to maintain during the months prior,” Adam Cooper, vice president of marketing for Wonderful Pistachios, said in a press release. “That’s why we want to provide healthy and delicious snacking options at popular venues and events throughout the country with Wonderful Pistachios.”

The marketing alliance with Live Nation partnership will provide concertgoers a tasty and healthy snack during their favorite summer shows with two roasted and salted options, including an in-shell and a no shells variety. The partnership takes Wonderful Pistachios' products and prominent on-site signage to 32 amphitheaters in 29 cities across the United States. Pistachios will also be sold at concession stands and via stadium hawkers. Fans will further experience the brand via video during pre-event and intermissions at more than 800 Live Nation shows.

The Baltimore Orioles, Philadelphia Phillies and Seattle Mariners will be additions to the Wonderful baseball roster this season, joining the Los Angeles Angels, Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds and New York Mets. The team partnerships will feature new behind home plate signage at all seven ballparks this season, with Wonderful Pistachios available for purchase at select concession stands. Wonderful will also bring the excitement of the game in-store with baseball point-of-sale materials for both Wonderful Pistachios and sister brand Wonderful Almonds in retailers across the country. Team-specific POS materials will be featured in the teams’ local markets for the Wonderful Pistachios brand only.
