During the same dates and just 20 minutes away, the ninth edition of the International Floriculture & Horticulture Trade Fair will meet Nov. 7-9 at Expo Haarlemmermeer in Vijfhuizen, the Netherlands.

A record high number of exhibitors are expected this year and the exhibition will be growing 15 percent in size. Visitors from over 125 countries attend this annual trade fair and attendance is increasing each year.

New this year will be growers from Iran and Zimbabwe, along with even more growers from existing exhibiting countries.

This will create more business opportunities for attending buyers and a marketplace where demand meets supply in the field of cut flowers and plants.

Furthermore, on the eve of IFTF, Union Fleurs — in cooperation with HPP Exhibitions and Hortipoint — is organizing the International Floriculture Forum 2018.

Held during the afternoon of Nov. 6, the Forum will host a range of high-level speakers who will be invited to share their views on major ongoing and upcoming changes in the fields of international trade, logistics and product innovation.

What do developments like rising protectionism at a global level and Brexit mean for the international floriculture trade? How will logistics respond to a changing business and international environment? What impact will the consolidation of breeding companies have on product innovation? These are just some of the questions that will be addressed by the speakers during the Forum.

Professional moderator Simone van Trier will facilitate interaction with the audience to ensure a dynamic and stimulating afternoon for top management and decision-makers across the international floriculture value chain.
