FPFC NorCal Expo gathers on April 18

Floral and produce industry members will gather at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA, on April 18 for the annual Fresh Produce and Floral Council’s Northern California Expo. Last year, over 200 companies showcased their products at 158 booths and more than 1,000 visitors attended the one-day event.

KENDALL-FARMSKendall Farms was awarded Best in Show floral booth at the 2017 FPFC Northern California Expo in Pleasanton, CA.“We wanted to focus on bringing more independent businesses into the mix,” FPFC president Carissa Mace said in a news release. “Much of the feedback we received from attendees and council members was a desire to invite a more diverse range of exhibitors, and the result has been a wider variety of both exhibitors and attendees. It’s been great to see more of those that act as the buying arms for the industry.”

This year, executives, operations personnel, supervisors, managers, clerks and professionals at every level of the industry will be able to meet face-to-face with suppliers, preview new products, packages and promotions, and network with fellow industry members, according to a news release.

There will be a pre-expo cocktail reception from 5-7 p.m. on April 17 at Players Restaurant at the Doubletree by Hilton at The Club in Pleasanton, offering the opportunity to unwind and mingle with expo exhibitors and attendees.

The expo floor is open 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 18, with a continental breakfast at 9 a.m. and boxed lunches available from noon to 2 p.m. All product remaining at the close of the FPFC expo will be donated to a charitable organization.
