Great Lakes Floral & Event Expo scheduled for March 2-4

The Great Lakes Floral & Event Expo, under the banner “Floristry —- an Everyday Event,” will gather March 2-4 at DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, MI, according to a news release. This year, events have been added to the Michigan Floral Association’s annual floral expo.

A partnership has been formed between the MFA and the International Live Events Association for this year’s Expo and ILEA will be hosting special event industry education sessions for all attendees.

With nine main stage shows, 13 business sessions, eight hands-on classes, a trade show, plus a floral design contest, there should be something for everyone at the 2018 GLFEE. You could learn new design trends, how to better serve your customers and staff, gain effective marketing ideas and network with your industry peers.

The MFA’s Design Contest will be divided into student, professional and academy divisions and winners will receive ribbons, certificates, cash awards, and recognition in The Professional Florist magazine. The contestant awarded the title of MFA Designer of the Year will have six designs featured in the magazine and will have the opportunity to represent the MFA and compete in the National Alliance of Floral Associations annual Designer of the Year competition.

Registration at GLFEE also includes access to the Grand Rapids Home & Garden Show on the other side of DeVos Place Convention Center.
