Village Farms variety in Viva Fresh showcase

Lorabella Blossom, Village Farms’ newest tomato variety, has been selected as a finalist for the inaugural Gateway to Innovation Awards at this years Viva Fresh Expo, which will be held in San Antonio, Texas, April 5-7.

Helen Aquino, director of brand marketing and communications for the firm, described the newest tomato entree to the team’s lineup as “an exciting orange tomato with a blissfully bright citrus essence.” She said it was part of the famed San Marzano tomato family and “is great for snacking, cooking, grilling and roasting.” Besides being one of the stars at the Village Farm booth, No.129, it will also be on display in the show’s featured product showcase.

Lorabella-Blossom At this year’s Viva Fresh, Village Farms will be featuring all of its unique and exclusive specialty tomatoes that are grown in Texas, including Heavenly Villagio Marzano, Cabernet Estate Reserve, Cherry no. 9 Fall in Love Again, True Rebel Mix, Lip Smackn Grape and Sinfully Sweet Campari, along with the company’s other tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers.
