NatureFresh Farms to feature value-added packaging options and more

Leamington, ON-based NatureFresh Farms, a leading grower, marketer and shipper of high-quality greenhouse produce, is a strong supporter of the Southeast Produce Council and its programs, including the Southern Exposure expo. The company is a Gold sponsor of the SEPC.

Kara Badder, marketing project manager at NatureFresh, said the company will exhibit at Booth No. 429 at Southern Exposure on March 1-3 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL.

“NatureFresh has been a member of the Southeast Produce Council for 15 years, and we continue to champion their efforts,” she added.

The company will feature its increased year-round availability of organic bell peppers paired with value-added packaging options.

“These include the Ohio Red and TOMZ Snacking tomatoes,” said Badder. “This spring we have also increased our organic bell pepper production to 15-acres, with additional expansion planned for 2019.”

Its cucumber line includes long English and mini seedless options.

Badder pointed out that Southern Exposure offers NatureFresh a great networking opportunity with key retailers and foodservice providers.

“And we always look forward to seeing new innovations within the industry,” she added.

Representatives from NatureFresh Farms who attend the expo also enjoy participating in the golf tournament, the opening gala, workshops and the Saturday keynote event.

In late 2016, NatureFresh Farms opened a 40,000-square-foot distribution center in the Toledo, OH, area to help to fulfill the increase in demand for its greenhouse produce. The facility operates year-round to support the company’s business on both sides of the border.

NatureFresh also produces red, yellow and orange Bell peppers in Leamington. The company is also strong in its USDA Certified Organics. Its organic line includes red, yellow, orange and green bell peppers, tomatoes-on-the-vine and red grape tomatoes.

NatureFresh Farms’ Delta, OH, facility produces numerous tomato varieties, including OhioRed tomatoes on the vine; OhioRed red beefsteak; OhioRed Roma TOMZ grapes in red, yellow and orange; TOMZ red cherry; TOMZ mixed snacking; TOMZ sweet red cocktail; heirloom; and green beefsteak.
