FLORIDA HEATS UP

Florida got hit by a good shot of rain over the last two days. Now come the cooler temps today through Sunday with minimums in to the 40s in all the major growing regions up and down the state. This will probably lead to a slight reduction in harvest numbers over the next few days.

Florida will finally get some relief for Christmas as temperatures begin to warm up. Starting Wednesday Dec. 26 maximum temps will be in the mid 80's and minimums will be in the upper 60's and low 70's. Look for production to finally pick up late next week.

There is also slight chance of rain for next Wednesday and Thursday in various regions of the state. Please check the app for specific locations.

CULIACAN COOLDOWN

Culiacan, which is Mexico’s counterpart to Florida for winter veg will see the exact opposite weather to Florida over the next 10 days. Today, Culiacan will have a max temp of 91 and a min of 53. Starting next Wednesday temps will begin to cool with maximums only reaching into the mid to upper 70°s and min temps in the upper 40's. These cooler temps are predicted to continue at least through Sunday Dec. 30. We will update the extended forecast next week. This is unusually cool for Culiacan. Look for production out of this region to slow down somewhat and supplies out of Nogales to tighten a little.

CENTRAL MEXICO

The central Mexico berry growing regions of Michoacán and Guanajuato will continue with cold weather for a few more days. The cities of Irapuato and Celaya in the state of Guanajuato and the cities of Zamora and La Piedad in the state of Michoacán have seen minimum temps in the low to mid 30's all this week. These cooler temps will continue a few more days will finally see some relief come Christmas. Starting Tues Dec. 25 the minimum temps start to rise and will be in the mid 40's all next week. Maximum temperatures will continue to be in the mid 70's over the next 10 days.
